I’m not one for splurging out on Valentine’s Day, I think we should celebrate our loved ones all year round, not just on the 14th February. However, it is always nice to share the love on Valentine’s Day, it’s the day of romance after all. In this post, I’ll be sharing some great gift ideas that can be enjoyed by anyone.
Gifts for a makeup lover
Whether your buying for your partner or a friend (for Galentines day), my list of makeup and beauty gifts should give you some great all-year round gifting inspiration.
Magnetic Lashes from falseyelashes.co.uk
Is your other half or friend beauty obsessed, and loves to rock glamourous makeup looks? Falseeyelashes.co.uk have a large array of of Magnetic Eyelashes for easy application. The lashes are from well known brands, including Kiss, Ardell and Eyelure. Magnetic lashes are perfect for first time wearers, as they stick down much easier than standard lashes. Falseeyeslashes.co.uk have a massive collection of lash products too, they are the perfect one-stop shop for all of your lash needs. By signing up to their newsletter you can get 10% off your first order too!

Jolie Beauty Highlighters
I worked with Jolie Beauty a year or so ago now, on a few of their campaigns. My favourite product being their Second Skin Powder Highlighters. The shade ‘Saintly’ is now a staple in my collection and I wear it the majority of the time I put on makeup. Jolie Beauty also have some lovely eyelashes and eyeshadow palettes which would also make wonderful Valentine’s Day gifts. All of their cosmetics are cruelty free too, which is a HUGE bonus. I’m also fully aware that the image below is Christmas themed, it’s from my post I did with them for the highlighter campaign.

Food and drink gift ideas
It wouldn’t be a Valentine’s Day Gift Guide without featuring some sort of sweet treat or alcohol based beverage now would it.
All Things Drinks
All Things Drinks are an online retailer specialising in alcohol. With a vast array of beer, wines and spirits, there really is a special gift for everyone. Not only that but they also have a non-alcoholic range, for those that like a clear head the next day. For Valentine’s Day, All Things Drinks have the perfect offer, a Cake and Bubbles Package. Choose from a bottle of Prosecco with two cake pots, or Prosecco and 4 cake pots, ranging from £30 – £50. You can even select your cake flavours too, these include: Berrylicious, Cocoa Crush, Lemon Lush and Rouge Bouge, how tasty do they all sound! The cakes are delivered separately to the Prosecco, as they are shipped from Sweet Cakey Thing bakery, and the Prosecco from All Things Drinks. All cakes are free-from wheat, dairy, gluten, grains, soya, additives, preservatives or refined sugar, covering a variety of dietary requirements.

Cook a fancy meal for your partner
If going out for food l isn’t on the cards this Valentine’s Day, then why not cook a nice meal for your partner. I know this isn’t really a ‘gift’ but it’s something that your other half would definitely love, especially if they are the chef in the household. If cooking isn’t your strongest suit, some supermarkets offer Valentine’s Day meal deals, which are super affordable, a lot cheaper than booking a table at a restaurant. I’ve had the M&S Valentine’s meal in the past, I think it’s around £20. It usually comes with a starter, main, side, dessert, wine (or soft drinks) and chocolates. Although we are no longer in lockdown, I created a list of Valentine’s date ideas in 2021, but they can still apply if you’re not planning to go out and about this year.
Gifts for the wanderluster
Is your partner a travel addict or hasn’t satisfied their travel bug since the pandemic began? I’ve got some great recommendations here that will certainly please them.
The Inspire Me Travel Company
Inspire Me Travel is an award-winning company offering tailor-made travel experiences. With over 30+ year’s experience in the travel industry, the team have extensive knowledge of all of their destinations, and are on hand to help plan your perfect holiday. Inspire Me Travel have some wonderful romantic breaks away, perfect for couples this Valentine’s Day.

Why not venture to the Loire Valley in Western France for a luxury weekend break. Spend 2 nights in a Castle Hotel, enjoy a private prestige dinner in a stunning chateaux.
Is your other half a car fanatic? Look no further than Inspire Me Travel’s Classic Car Experience. Driving through Provence in the South of France, admiring the scenic landscape, whilst enjoying the thrill of a vintage classic car, what more could you want this Valentine’s Day.
Now we all know Italy is a vibrant country full of good food and wine. Take a 4-night Florence city break, including a full-day of wine tasting and lunch in the unforgettable village of Volpaia in Tuscany. How utterly romantic does this sound!
The romantic city of Venice is the perfect place for a couple’s getaway. Spend 3 nights at the 5-star Ca Sagredo Hotel with canal view and a 30 minute private Gondola ride and private return water taxi transfers.
And last, but certainly not least, a tour of the Croatia Islands. A combination of turquoise waters, serenity, beauty and history awaits on this relaxing Croatian adventure.
The Inspire Me Travel Company have plenty more luxurious trips available, including destinations such as Africa, India, Greece and New York. They also have UK breaks and experiences if you would prefer to stay closer to home.
A family friendly trip / adventure filled couples weekend
If you are a parent, then the likelihood of you having any alone time is very slim. Maybe you could include the kids this Valentine’s Day with a fun filled weekend to Center Parcs. Center Parcs isn’t just for family’s, my boyfriend and I have visited countless times as a couple. There’s so much to do, plenty of fun activities, and spaces to relax and unwind. I have a full post on my experience at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest in Nottingham.

Everyday Essentials gifts
Personally, I think gifting someone everyday essentials is really thoughtful. Picking out items that they use daily and creating a self-care/essentials hamper is a great gift. My mum does this for me every Christmas, and it always includes products such as tampons, nail polish remove, festive chocolates, skincare etc.
WUKA Period Underwear
The people at WUKA believe that periods should not cost the earth. This is a statement I can fully get behind. Sustainability and helping to keep our environment in tact is something that we should all strive to achieve. Making small changes, can have a huge beneficial impact on the world around us. WUKA specialise in sustainable period underwear, helping people who menstruate be more environmentally friendly. Every pair of WUKA is ethically crafted using sustainably sourced materials. Each pair can be reused again and again for over 2 years, replacing over 200 or more disposable pads & tampons. With a variety of styles and absorbencies, there is a style for everyone. I think WUKA would make the perfect self-care treat for yourself this Valentine’s Day. You are number 1, take the time to prioritise yourself and practice self-love, by investing in period underwear. They will save the planet and your wallet in the long run.

Affordable Valentine’s Day Gifts
You don’t need to splash the cash to show someone that you love and appreciate them. I’ve created a short list of more affordable Valentine’s gifts for those on a tighter budget.
Make a photo album
Personalised gifts are often a crowd pleaser. I think creating a photo album of your favourite moments together as a couple (or friends) adds such a cute personal touch. Looking through old photographs is something I personally love to do. It’s easy to print photographs, there are plenty of websites to use to do this for you. Simply upload your favourite pictures, on some sites this can be done directly from your phone, and have them delivered to your address. I think some printers allow you to choose the type of paper they are printed on e.g. glossy or matte. Pick up a nice album and simply pop the pictures inside. You could even write a personalised note under each image, making the gift even more romantic.

Flowers and chocolates
Thoughtful gifts don’t have to be expensive. Pick up a bunch of your partners favourite flowers, or even a cute house plant to brighten up the home. Flowers and house plants can be bought at the majority of supermarkets, and often range from £3 – £15, depending on the size of the bouquet. You could also purchase a pretty vase/plant pot to display your gift. A tasty box of chocolates or a little hamper filled with sweet treats, are always a winner, in my eyes anyway.

I hope you’ve managed to find something that your better half will love this Valentine’s Day. I feel that all of the gifts I’ve mentioned would be perfect all year round, and I’d certainly like to be gifted everything I’ve mentioned at some point. Thank you to all the brands who reached out and wanted to take part, it really means a lot. Thank you to my lovely readers too, for always supporting me and my little blog!
Until Another Day x

Beautiful list of ideas that I am sure will help a lot of people! I don’t personally celebrate this holiday with my partner but our anniversary is near the date anyway so we normally just focus on that – again we don’t tend to buy each other gifts because we don’t need anything physical but we do go out for a meal or this year we might be going away for the weekend xx
