Documenting products that I have used up is actually really fun, so much so that this is my third post in the series (here are the links to posts one and two). It has taken me a while to bring another installment to my beauty empties series, due to the never ending pandemic, meaning my makeup usage has been slightly lacking this year. Nevertheless, I have still managed to use up a decent amount of my beauty products, so without further ado, let’s get into the post.
Makeup Empties
Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil

I have mentioned this brow product in quite a few of my blog posts this year, firstly in my first makeup and skincare wishlist post; in my Florida makeup haul; a working from home makeup look, and finally a fall makeup tutorial. So if you had not already guessed I am completely obsessed with this brow pencil. It makes my brows fuller without looking unnatural, it has a slight waxy consistency but can be blended out very easily. The pencil like tip allows for small ‘hair’ strokes to be drawn in, and with the added bonus of a spooly, you will not need to remember to pack one when travelling (if we ever can again). I have already repurchased and started using a new one and for reference I use the shade #5.
NARS Climax Mascara

If you love full voluminous lashes then this mascara is perfect for you. I received a sample of Climax Mascara by Nars back in 2019 via the Glamour Beauty Club and I was instantly a huge fan. So much so that I picked up the full sized version soon after. The Nars Climax Mascara is on the pricier side but definitely packs a punch, it is super black and gives the appearance of fuller looking lashes in just a couple of strokes. Although a brilliant mascara, it is quite a dry formula so make sure you secure the lid tightly to avoid it drying out too quickly. I have yet to repurchase this mascara, I have a couple in my collection which I want to use up first, but I would consider buying it again in the future.
Morphe Continuous Setting Mist

A setting spray is a must in my makeup routine and over the years I have tried my fair share. I picked this up over a year ago on a trip to Houston, Texas. however it wasn’t a spray that I particularly reached for, hence why it has lasted this long. As part of my mission to use up my beauty products, I started using the Morphe Continous Setting Mist again recently and I was really impressed. The mist is extremely fine which I absolutely love, and it makes my makeup stay in place for hours, so I can see myself buying this again in the future.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

Another setting spray, I can’t wear a full face of makeup without it. The Urban Decay All Nighter is not only a cult favourite, but it’s my favourite too! It doesn’t make my skin any oilier or leave white marks on the skin, so is the perfect finishing touch to lock in my makeup for the day or night ahead. My makeup will not last as long if I do not wear it, so it’s a must-have product in my eyes. I am currently in the process of using their XL version, so it will be quite a while before this is featured in my empties again.
Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara

Over the past year or so I have become obessed with this mascara, it has had its fair few mentions in various posts on the blog. The Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara makes my lashes super long and voluminous without clumping. It doesn’t transfer underneath my eyes, like some mascaras, so is perfect for use on the bottom lashes as well. I already have a second tube lined up for use, so there are no qualms as to wether or not I like it.
Skincare Empties
In recent months, I have taken a massive interest in skincare. I am in the process of trialling a bunch of new skincare products but have managed to use up a few of my favourites…and some not so great products too!
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

This might be a little controversial, but I absolutely HATED this cleanser. The Hot Cloth Cleanser made my skin break out like crazy, it just did not agree with me at all. I was so disappointed that this didn’t work for me, I had very high expectations but was left with spotty skin. Rather than this going to waste, I found an alternative use for it and turned it into a shaving cream! I would apply a small amount to my legs and underarms before shaving, and it actually worked a treat. This is one that I will never repurchase! Have you experienced any problems with this cleanser?
Biore Rose Quartz Cleanser

I picked the Biore Rose Quartz Cleanser up on a complete whim when I spotted an advert online…the power of advertising! I was super impressed by how clean it made my skin look and feel. It has a slight cooling/tingling sensation, similar to that of toothpaste, kind of minty feeling (if that makes any sense). It doesn’t break me out either so is perfect for those with sensitive skin. I have used two of these up and I am waiting for a third bottle to arrive, so it’s definitely a face cleanser I have grown to love, and it’s really affordable too!
Pixi Glow Tonic

Although not quite empty just yet, I thought I would include this as I have another one on the way. I started using the Pixi Glow Tonic in the Summer and my god it is incredible!! My skin can often look quite dull, but when I use the Glow Tonic my skin looks so much healthier and fresher. I was utterly astonished at how well it worked within just a few days. I cannot recommend the Pixi Glow Tonic enough, it is a must product in my skincare routine now.
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser

I have used countless bottles of the Simple Hydrating Light Mosituriser so I can fully recommend it to any skin type. I have oily/combination skin, and although hydrating, it does not make the skin any oilier. I would buy this again, however I am currently testing a couple of new moisturisers but I may well return to this at some point in the future.
Proactiv+ Pore Targeting Treatment & Complexion Perfection Hydrator

These two products are incredible for acne prone, sensitive skin. Unfortunately, Amazon and Boots no longer stock Proactiv+, the only option is directly from their website. From previous experience, I did not like this because I was unknowingly tied into a subscription service. I have decided to not repurchase from Proactiv+ unless they are restocked on a UK website.
Nip+Fab Glycolic Scrub Fix

I bought this exfoliator quite a while ago, thinking it was a body exfoliator. Much to my surprise it was actually for the face. The Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub contains a mixture of chemical (Glycolic) and physical exfoliators, it was quite rough on the skin, but definitely helped to remove any dry patches. It was an all round great product, but I don’t think I will be repurchasing because I have fallen madly in love with the Pixi Glow Tonic, which, in my opinion, does a better job.
Nivea Q10 Vitamin C Eye Cream

I am always looking out for eye creams that help to visibly improve the appearance of dark circles. Although nice and hydrating, I didn’t really notice a big difference with the Nivea Q10 Vitamin C Eye Cream so I am unlikely to pick this up again. I’m currently trialing out another eye cream and I am actually noticing some slight improvement, I will keep you updated!
UTAN x Jamie CBD Tanning Water

I have very pale/sensitive skin, so tanning naturally isn’t really an option for me. Rather than applying my body fake tan to my face, I discovered this tanning water, which is in collaboration with UTAN and Jamie Genevieve, it is infused with CBD and scottish lavendar for a really calming and relaxing scent. I love applying this as the last step of my evening skincare routine. The very next day I wake up with gorgeous glowy bronzed skin. I genuinely cannot fault this product, it smells amazing and does not break out my skin. My boyfriend bought me a replacement bottle for my birthday in September, I couldn’t have dropped any more hints 😉
Bodycare Empties
Woo Woo Crandberry Cleanse*

This Woo Woo Crandberry Cleanse has the most beautiful refreshing scent, and not only does it work well as an intimate wash, it is also a brilliant overall body wash. I may well pick another bottle up in the future, however I personally use my body wash all over and have never experienced any problems.
Jack Wills English Velvet Body Butter

I love lathering my body in creams after a bath or shower, and this English Velvet body butter by Jack Wills is rich and creamy and is a delight to apply. Despite being thick, it melts into the skin quite quickly, so I don’t have to lounge around naked before getting dressed 🙈. I don’t think this can be purchased anymore, unless Boots come out with a gift set for Christmas.
Random Beauty Empties
Organii Aloe Mouthwashes*

I have a full review on Organii Aloe Mouthwashes here but my favourite out of the two has to be the orange flavour. I really noticed my teeth appeared whiter after a couple of weeks. Each bottle lasted quite a long time, they are larger than your standard supermarket mouthwashes e.g. Listerine, although slightly more expensive. I would definitely consider repurchasing the orange mouthwash again.
Bamboo Cotton Buds

In an effort to become more sustainable, I picked up some Bamboo Cotton Buds on Amazon. They worked just as well as standard cotton buds, yet are 100% compostable! They can snap if you use a heavy hand, but that honestly doesn’t bother me. I’d rather this happen than them ending up in a landfill site for centuries! I am on my second box of these cotton buds and they lasted for around 9-10 months which was fantastic.
Overall, I have loved all of these products (with the exception of the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser), and will more than likely purchase them again in the future. Are you trying to use up your beauty products? Have you tried anything I have mentioned?
Until Another Day x

I’ve used some Organii products in the past and I really liked them! I’m very surprised by your review of Liz Earle! I’ve tried the Hot Cloth Cleanser in the past and it was okay. I like the products but for me they’re a bit pricey and I wouldn’t buy them again either!
