May 2021 Glossybox Review

May is finally here! I was hoping to be writing the start of this post on a gorgeous sunny May day, but alas it’s 20mph winds and rain *sigh*. Another month brings with it another GLOSSYBOX. If you read my April GLOSSYBOX review, you’ll know I was bitterly disappointed with it’s contents. With that being said, I was very much looking forward to May’s box, because it brings with it a unique box design. Without further ado, let’s get reviewing!

Minetan Rapid Recovery After Sun Gel

Minetan Rapid Recovery After Sun Gel

Whenever the sun shows her face I somehow always get sunburnt…yes, even when I wear suncream! I have extremely fair skin that the sun cannot seem to stay away from. After Sun has always been a must-have product, especially when I’m travelling. Last July, I visited Cornwall and had such painful sunburn on my legs, I looked like a Squashie sweet!! Anyway, I haven’t been able to try out the Minetan Rapid Recovery After Sun just yet, the weather is pretty dull at the moment, but as soon as the sun makes an apperance I will definitely be trying this out.

Ciate London Gold Definer Liner

Ciate London Gold Definer Liner

Eyeliner isn’t something I wear all that often, especially not shimmer liners. The Gold Definer Liner by Ciate London is gorgeous. The first time I used this, I applied to the inner corner of my eyes to add a pop of bright shimmer. I found the liner to be very creamy, and the colour pay off to be very strong. I didn’t need to apply much for this to show up on my eyes. I’m going to be playing around with this a lot, to try it out in different ways. Dark liners tend to smudge onto my lower lash line, I really want to find out if Ciate London have a dark eyeliner in a similar formula to see how this fairs on my eyes!

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Eye Masks

Rodial Dragon's Blood Eye Masks

Most mornings I wake up with puffy, tired eyes, so I gave the Dragons Blood Eyes Masks by Rodial Beauty a try during my morning skincare routine. After washing my face, I applied the patches to my dark circles. I found them quite fiddly to apply, the masks have two cloth protective covers on each side that I had to remove before applying. The packaging recommends to leave on for 20-30 minutes. When I removed the patches, my eyes looked less puffy and brightened. I was massively impressed by the difference, my under eyes also felt hydrated and nourished. I would definitely consider picking these up again in the future.

Kueshi Lemon Shower Gel

Kueshi Lemon Shower Gel

I am OBSESSED with the scent of the Kueshi Lemon Shower Gel, it smells exactly like a Lemon Drizzle Cake! I found that I needed to apply quite a lot of the shower gel to my body puff for it to lather up nicely. However, the shower gel itself is very enjoyable to use. My body felt clean and hydrated, some scented shower gels can dry out the skin, but this one didn’t. Although I loved it, I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to repurchase because it’s a little more expensive to what I usually buy, it retails for £5.70.

Lottie London Power Foil

Lottie London Power Foil

I’m not going to lie, pigments scare me. I’m so paranoid that I’m going to have masses of glittery fall-out across my entire face. The Power Foil from Lottie London is simply stunning, the shade Golden Hour is perfect for every day wear, but can definitely be used to glam up any eye makeup look. I made sure to do my eyes first, to avoid the dreaded glitter face, but much to my surprise, there wasn’t much fall-out at all. I used a small flat brush to apply, but for a more intense shimmer and colour pay off, I’d use my finger. I can see myself using this product a lot, I feel that it can be worn at any point throughout the year. I’m super impressed by Lottie London with this eye shimmer, I’d love to see if they do other shades!

May Glossybox leaflet

May’s GLOSSYBOX was a lot more impressive then lasts months box. I think my favourite product has to be Lottie London Power Foil, I loved how this looked on my eyes. Did you receive May’s GLOSSYBOX, what were your thoughts on the box? If you would like to sign up to GLOSSYBOX I have a referral friend link, were I receive £5 credit if someone joins using my link.

Until Another Day x

  3. It looks like you got some great products! I have really pale skin too and try to hide from the sun for the same reason but I always have after sun just in case. The gold liner looks really pretty! x

  4. That Lottie London pigment/glitter looks so beautiful! Using a sticky eye primer or some kind of glitter glue primer might be able to keep the fallout to a minimum! Thanks for sharing this, I loved reading it!

  5. You’ve received some great products this month and definitely agree it looks better than April’s box. I’d love to hear how you get on with the after sun if we every get anything but rain.
