Beauty Products I Have Used Up – Empties | Part 4

Another empties post! I am flying through so many beauty items these days, don’t ask me how, were in another lockdown for crying out loud. I am fully obsessed with skincare at the moment, so I have used quite a lot of skincare products over the recent months. This post contains products which were previously gifted.

Skincare Empties

Green People Hyaluronic Acid Booster Serum

Green People hyaluronic booster serum

I have a full review on the Hyaluronic Serum on the blog so I won’t go into too much detail, however this product has become a staple part of my skincare routine. Its lightweight non-sticky formula was perfect for my oily skin, meaning I could wear this alone or underneath makeup without looking shiny. I repurchased this a couple of weeks ago, and it has truly transformed my skin.

Green People Nordic Roots Apple Complex Moisturiser

Green People apple complex moisturiser

Every product I have tried from Green People has never failed me. I feel that other brands should take note of Green People’s natural and cruelty free skincare ranges, they are top quality products. I loved how hydrating the Apple Complex Moisturiser was, it was perfect as a night cream for my oily skin.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid

The Ordinary hyaluronic acid

Another Hyaluronic Acid product that I love is by The Ordinary. I prefer to use this of an evening as it’s heavier than the Green People one. There’s not much to be said about this acid, because it makes an appearance in pretty much in everyone’s skincare routine. If you haven’t already tried The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, then you NEED to!

Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil

Caudalie makeup removing cleansing oil

I’ve mentioned the Caudalie Cleansing Oil countless times on my blog, it’s such a great makeup remover. It isn’t harsh on my sensitive skin and removes every last morsel of makeup. This product has been a favourite of mine for years, I featured it in my 2019 favourites! I have two bottles of this lined up ready to use!

Pleanaire Rose Jelly Makeup Remover

Plenaire rose jelly makeup remover

I had never heard of Plenaire until I purchased the Cult Beauty Starter Kit in September. I was very impressed by the removal powers of the Pleanaire Rose Jelly, it helped to break down even the toughest of makeup. I loved the Rose scent too, it wasn’t too overpowering. I would look to repurchase in the future, but my go-to has to be the Caudalie Oil.

The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream

The Inkey List caffeine eye cream

This was another product I received in the Cult Beauty Starter Kit. The Caffeine Eye Cream by the Inkey List was really soothing and didn’t irritate my sensitive eye area, however I didn’t feel that it made a huge difference to my dark circles. Because of this, I am unlikely to re-buy again.

ECooking Moisturizing Serum

ECOOKING moisturizing serum

ECooking is a new brand to me, their Moisturizing Serum was in my January Glossybox. I found the texture very similar to hyaluronic acid, it was hydrating and moisturising and pretty much had the same effects. This is an expensive product, and because of it’s similarities to cheaper hyaluronic acids, I probably won’t repurchase.

GlamGlow Super Serum

GlamGlow superserum

GlamGlow have some wonderful products, especially their SuperMud Mask, and the Super Serum is no exception. It is lilac in colour and very gentle on the skin, despite containing 5 different acids. I’d definitely pick this up again!

Farsarli Rose Gold Elixir

Farsarli Rose Gold Elixir

My oily skin peeps don’t need to run a mile from the Rose Gold Elixir, despite being an oil, it is fantastic for oily skin. My skin looked radient and bright whenever I used this during my skincare routine. It’s a pricy product, but definitely worth it if you’re wanting to look like a glowing goddess.

No7 Nourishing Melting Gel Cleanser

No7 melting gel cleanser

I received this cleanser in a mini No7 set at Christmas. This gel based cleanser worked well to break down my makeup, leaving me with clean shiny skin. I found that the gel cleanser irritated my eyes massively if I tried to remove my mascara and eye makeup. For that reason, I wouldn’t repurchase as my Caudalie cleanser doesn’t irritate my eyes at all.

Bodycare Empties

Lotil Original Cream

Lotil Original cream

If you suffer with dry, cracked hands, then Lotil Cream will help to keep your hands nourished and hydrated. Available in various sizes, Lotil has you covered for every occasion, from small handy travel sized tubes, to gigantic family sized tubs, Lotil has got it all. The cream doesn’t have the most pleasing scent, but it gets rid of dry hands in a matter of seconds.

Woo Woo Gentle Micellar Wash

Woo Woo gentle micellar wash

Woo Woo offer a wide range of feminine care products. The Gentle Micellar Wash can be used as an overall body wash too which is a massive plus. The wash contains soothing Aloe Vera meaning it is great for our intimate areas. Although it doesn’t have much of scent, my body felt super clean and fresh after using. Woo Woo also have an intimate hair removal cream, this is very affordable, much cheaper than salon treatments.

Shea Moisture African Water Mint and Ginger Detox Body Wash

Shea Moisture African water mint and ginger detox body wash

I loved the scent of this body wash, it wasn’t too overpowering and the scent lingered on my skin for a few hours after showering. I featured Shea Moisture in my 2020 Christmas Gift Guide, as they have some beautful bath/bodycare products available.

Makeup Empties

Avon Mark Magix Face Primer

Avon Magix face primer

Having oily skin I’m always searching for a oil controlling primer, and this one by Avon really hit the nail on the end. The Magix primer magicked away my prominent pores and helped keep the shine at by throughout the day. Although I loved this primer, I won’t be repurchasing, purely because I am trying to get most of my makeup and skincare cruelty free.

L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation

L'Oreal Infallible 24hr matte foundation

Over the years I have emptied countless tubes of this foundation, but I stopped using it for some unbeknown reason. I recently decided to start using this again, it was probably way past its used by date. I can hand on heart say that I still love this foundation, it has medium to full coverage and definitely keeps my skin matte for hours, definitely the perfect foundation for oily skin. Unfortunately L’Oreal isn’t cruelty free, so I’m probably not going to pick this up for a while. I do have a darker shade of this foundation for the summer months, but I doubt I’ll be tanned enough to use it…I am extremely pale!

My empties have accumulated over the past few months, I haven’t finished them all at the the same time. I’m astonished by the amount of skincare products I have managed to use up since my last empties post. You can definitely tell we have been in a 3 month lockdown by how few makeup empties I have this month.

Until Another Day x

  1. Love the sound of some of these! The hyaluronic acid from The ordinary is such a great product! I had my eyes on the Farsali oil for years, but never had a chance to try it yet! Thank you for sharing x
