It is 2021 and animal testing on cosmetics is still a common occurrence, it is such a cruel and unnecessary process, especially in the beauty industry. In today’s post, I am going to be sharing some of the best cruelty free skincare products that you need to be adding to your collection.

Before I share my list of cruelty free skincare products, animal testing on beauty products is mandatory in China. China are one of the few countries where its laws requires all imported beauty products to be tested on animals. So basically, any brand that sells its products in China is likely to have been tested on animals. When searching for new skincare/makeup products, look out for the Cruelty Free Logo, it usually has an image of a little cartoon rabbit.

Green People Hyaluronic Booster Serum

I have mentioned this Green People serum on my blog so many times over the past few months, because it truly is a wonderful everyday serum. Its lightweight formula is perfect for applying before makeup, or to use alone on bare skin. It’s non-greasy, and despite being containing hyaluronic acid, it does not make the skin any oilier. This is the best hyaluronic acid serum I have ever tried! This serum contains Hop Flowers which are used to treat hyperpigmentation and age spots. Literally as I was writing about this, I went onto the Green People website and bought myself another!

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid

Another amazing hyaluronic acid is by The Ordinary. The Ordinary are a chemistry brand that offer products with proven clinical benefits without the expensive price tag. So, if affordable skincare is something you are interested in, then The Ordinary will have you covered. I don’t want to go into too much detail about hyaluronic acid because I have spoken about it so much on my blog already, it’s a product I use regularly in my skincare routine. The Ordinary not only create incredible products but are HUGELY against animal testing, therefore they do not export their products to mainland China and/or other countries where animal testing is required by law.

No7 Youthful Replenishing Face Oil

I did not realise that No7 was a cruetly free brand until recently, and I am so thrilled to hear this. I started testing out their Youthful Replenishing Face Oil in December, and it truly is wonderful. I like to apply this during my evening skincare routine, but will also apply in the morning if my skin is looking a little dull and dry. Although an oil, it isn’t greasy when applied sparingly and will leave the skin with a gorgeous glow.

No7 Protect and Perfect Day and Night Cream

Similarly to the face oil, I have been trying the No7 Protect and Perfect day and night creams since last year. I received sample sized version in a gift set. The day and night cream and really hydrating and nourishing, without giving me an oily complexion. The day cream contains SPF 15, which does not leave a white cast to the skin.

Pixi BeautifEYE Brightening Eye Patches

Pixi Beauty are a brand who need no introduction. I have been obsessed with the Glow Tonic for almost a year now, and recently picked up their Brightening Eye Patches. I love using the eye patches as a little morning treat, they are very cooling so are great to use at the start of the day, to de-puff and wake up the eye area.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

Over the past 4 or 5 months my skin has become extremely sensitive, so I wanted to switch up my cleanser. I fell in love with the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser because of its gentle formula. This cleanser is fragrance free and non-comedogenic meaning it is perfect for sensitive skin. Although designed for normal to dry skin, I find that the hydrating cleanser works well on my oily/combination skin.

The Inkey List Vitamin B, C and E Moisturizer

Another brand who have recently piqued the interests of us beauty bloggers is The Inkey List. Their Vitamin B, C and E Moisturizer has a plethora of delightful benefits, including anti-inflammatory properties from Vitamin E and brightening from Vitamin C. This multi-functional moisturiser can be used day and night, so you won’t need to break the bank by purchasing two separate creams. Lotil Cream*

Last year, I posted a review of Lotil Cream and how it fared with eczema and sensitive skin. Since then, I have been using Lotil as part of my regular body and skincare routine. It is a thick cream which works well at soothing dry, irritated skin, it is also completely cruelty free. The cream can be used on the face and body, and can be purchased in various travel friendly sizes. Lotil also have a lip balm and foot cream in their collection!
