GlossyBox January 2021 Review

Contains referral links

At the start of January I decided to cancel my gym membership (I know, controversial) and instead put the money towards a GlossyBox subscription. GlossyBox have been on my radar for quite sometime and I finally decided to see what all of the fuss was about.

GlossyBox have two subscription types, a rolling monthly subscription or a 12 month subscription. I chose the monthly service, purely because I hate being tied down to a recurring payment, and if I’m not fussed on the products I can easily cancel at any time.

January’s GlossyBox focussed mainly on skincare products. I was super happy about this because one of my goals for 2021 is to do a full skincare routine every morning and evening.

What’s inside the January 2021 GlossyBox?

Daily Concepts Daily Reusable Rounds

Daily Concepts Reusable Rounds

When I spotted a 2 pack of reusable cotton rounds by the brand Daily Concepts I was so happy. I have wanted to pick up something similar for quite a while now. Cotton rounds can be used in a variety of ways, either by removing makeup or adding toner to the skin, I mainly use them for the latter. Reusable cotton rounds are a great way of becoming more sustainable, I featured a susitanable gifting section in my Christmas Gift Guide, which contained some reusable cotton rounds.

Ecooking Moisturising Serum

Ecooking Moisturizing Serum

As you all know, I am obsessed with skincare, especially oils and serums lately. This hydrating serum from ecooking is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and locking in the skins natural moisture. I started using the serum as soon as it arrived and I was instantly impressed. The description of the Ecooking serum is spot on, it is very hydrating and moisturising, but doesn’t make the skin greasy. I have sensitive skin and the serum didn’t cause any inflammation which was an added bonus. I’ve started to include this serum into my regular skincare routine.

Saint Luxe Beauty Brow Gel

Saint Luxe Brow Gel

Saint Luxe Beauty is a female, black owned, luxury beauty brand, founded by the beautiful Nicole in the East Coast. All of Saint Luxe’s products are cruelty free! The Saint Luxe Beauty Brow Gel has a very small wand, which is great for coating the brow hairs without adding too much product. It set my brows in place nicely, but I did notice that it wasn’t as “cementing” as my usual brow gel. The Saint Luxe Brow Gel retails for £16, which is fairly pricey for the size.

Your Sanitiser Hand Sanitising Gel

Your Sanitiser Hand Sanitiser Gel

Let’s face it, hand sanitising gel has become the new accessory, but to be honest, it’s always been a handbag essential of mine. It was only fitting that GlossyBox included the Your Sanitiser hand gel in this months box, new year, same germs… Anyway, I don’t have anything bad to say about this hand sanitiser, it actually has quite a nice scent compared to others I’ve tried. This will be going straight in my purse the next time I’m out and about.

Beauty Pro Avocado Infused Sheet Mask

Beauty Pro Avocado Sheet Mask

Who doesn’t love a good sheet mask? They’re so hydrating and make the skin feel so soft and luscious, although, they do make you look a little questionable. With that being said, the Beauty Pro Avocado Infused Sheet Mask uses plant based skin loving ingredients to instantly hydrate and smooth your complexion. I tried this out a few days ago when I was having a little self-care and pamper morning and my skin looked plump and felt extremely soft afterwards. I could definitely see myself picking up more Beauty Pro sheet masks in the future.

Mudmasky Serum Infused Eye Mask

Mudmasky Serum-Infused Eye Mask

A mask specifically designed for the eyes? That was the first thought I had when I picked this Mudmasky product out of my January Glossybox. I’d heard and even tried sheet masks for the eyes, but not a liquid mask. This serum infused eye mask is specifically designed for the delecate skin around the eye area, supposidly helping to reduce dark circles, puffy eyes, fine wrinkles, dry skin and swelling. This mask has a slighly unusual scent, so if you have a particularly sensitive nose, then this may not be for you. I’ve tried the mask out a couple of times and I do like it, however I haven’t used it for long enough to see the benefits it claims to have.

January 2021 Glossybox

Overall, I was super impressed with my first ever Glossybox, there’s something about receiving a box filled with surpise goodies that gets me really hyped up. Have you tried any of the beauty products in the January 2021 Glossybox?

Until Another Day x

  1. I’ve tried glossy box in the past but it’s not something I’m interested in all that much anymore tbh! This seems like a good selection though 🤗

  2. I haven’t heard of this service but looks interesting. I am especially intrigued by the reusable cotton rounds and the avocado facial mask. I may have to look into this.
