Christmas is not just about eating until our pants are bursting and giving presents to the people we appreciate most. Christmas is for getting our glam on and celebrating in style! With the 25th December not too far away, now is the perfect opportunity to plan your outfit and, of course, makeup, for the festive season.

The Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com Palette will be your seasonal bestie this Christmas. Filled to the brim with 24 pressed glitter eyeshadows, from reds to blues, neutrals to brights, this palette will compliment any eye look by adding a blinding sparkle to the eyes. I am obsessed with including glitter to my makeup in some form or another on Christmas day, so much so I have done it for the past 3 years.

The packaging for this palette is so sleek and comes with a protective pouch, so you won’t need to worry about damaging those precious glitters. It also comes with a large mirror so is perfect for travelling (whenever we get around to doing this again). For us beauty bloggers out there, each glitter has its very own name, so it is so much easier to identify the shade you are working with. Each pan comes with a good amount of product, so this palette will last quite a while.

When playing with glitters, I would always recommend finishing your eye makeup first, before starting on your base. Fall out is pretty much guaranteed with glitter, however I was so impressed with how little actually fell on my face. Upon first application, I applied a tacky full coverage concealer to act as my eye primer, giving the glitter something to adhere to. I didn’t need to use a glitter glue for the shadows to stick to my lid, which was a bonus. I added my matte transition shades and then I used my pinkie to pack the glitter into the centre of my lid, the pay-off is so much better when using your fingers. To disperse the glitter, I used a small brush to evenly distribute it across my eye, taking care not to move it too high. If you prefer using a brush over your fingers, then you should spray the brush with a setting mist before dipping into the glitter, this will give you more pigmentation.

Throughout the day the glitter did occasionally sink into the creases of my eyelid, but that depended on what glitter I was using. I must admit, some glitters in the palette are a lot more pigmented/higher quality than others, for example Sugar, the white glitter, is quite chunky and does not have as much pay off as Zest, the lime green shade. I also found that Zest, although green in the pan, has quite a golden undertone, which I love btw!

Another point to highlight is that I suffer with eczema on my eyelids from time to time, I often experience irritation with certain eye makeup products. BUT not with this palette!! I was a little worried at first, with this being a pressed glitter palette, so much to my delight, and surprise, my lids didn’t become itchy, dry or sore after using the glitters. It is a big thumbs up for me 👍. I have a recent Instagram post featuring the gorgeous pink glitters on my eyes.

In summary, the Bomb Dot Com palette is visually stunning and performs well on the eyes, with little to no fall out. You can create endless vibrant and colourful looks, making it the perfect all-year round glitter eyeshadow palette. I will most definitely reach for this palette on Christmas Day and throughout the entire festive period. Do you love using glitter to add sparkle to your makeup? Then you really need to treat yourself the Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com Pressed Glitter Palette! Jolie Beauty also have some beautiful highlighters too.

Until Another Day x

    1. I was worried at first too because I suffer with eczema on my eyes but this didn’t cause any irratation. Also, because they are pressed glitters rather than loose glitters, they are a lot safer for use on the eyes x
