Step by Step Everyday Autmunal/Fall Makeup Look

It’s been a while since I posted a makeup look on my blog, over the past month or so I have had a little bit of a writers block but now I am getting back into the swing of things. Enough rambling, with Autumn (or Fall) fast approaching I thought I would share a super simple warm makeup look which is perfect for those crisp autumunal days.

Eye Makeup

I find it easier to start with eyes when doing my makeup, that way if I make a mistake I can easily wipe it away without fear of disturbing my base.

Primer

Urban Decay Primer Potion Original

If I forget to put on eye primer by eyeshadow creases so easily, oily skin probs. My tried and true is the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original. I like to spread a thin layer across the eye to prep my lid for the rest of my makeup application.

Eyeshadow

For this particular look, I decided to use the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Palette. I dug this out again recently and have really loved playing around with it again.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette

To begin with, apply Coconut Creme all over the lid and up to the brow bone using a fluffy brush. Next take a blending brush and focus Peanut Butter in the crease and outer portion of the eye as a transition shade. Using a more defined blending brush and a light hand, take a small amount of Truffled and add this to the outer corner, taking care when blending it into the crease. Finally, for an added bit of bronze shimmer, take Bon Bon on a flat brush, and add to the centre of the lid to make the eye pop. Go back in with Peanut Butter to blend everything together.

Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara

Last but not least, lets not forget Mascara. I love the Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara, add a generous coat to the top and bottom lashes to create a fluttery eye. Then voila, you have a gorgeous autumunal eye look.

The Base

Primer

Avon Magix Primer and GlamGlow Glowstarter in Nude Glow

I’m going to be using a combination of two different products today. Firstly, apply a thin layer of the GlamGlow Glowstarter Illuminating Moisturiser across the entire face. Follow this up by applying the Avon MagicX Face Perfector onto the areas you have prominate pores or get oily. I really love the combo of these two ‘primers’ together, it adds a lovely subtle glow to the skin.

Foundation

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Oily Skin Foundation)

Of course I’m going to be using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. It’s my new favourite foundation and I have a review on it here. Apply using a damp sponge (I’m using the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge) to create a flawless base.

Concealer

Nars Radient Creamy Concealer (oily skin concealer)

I’m obsessed with the Nars Radient Creamy Concealer at the moment. It adds a lovely amount of coverage but doesn’t make my undereyes appear dry or cakey. Add a small amount to the inner and outer corner of the eye (avoid going in with a heavy hand and don’t apply in a huge triangle). Blend out with the sponge we used for foundation, or switch to a brush if you would prefer. Also apply a small amount to the nose, chin and forehead to add a little highlight.

Powder

Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder (Oily Skin Powder)

Over the past few months I have grown more and more fond of loose powders as oppossed to pressed powders. They seem to blur any imperfections which the foundation and concealer may have missed. Today I’m going to be using the Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder. I picked this up on a recent trip to Florida, as it is a little hard to get hold of in the UK for some reason. Using a large powder brush, sweep this across the face to mattify the skin.

Bronzer

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer

I have a couple of bronzers that I like to switch between and one of my favourites is the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Bronzer, I have had mine for a while now it is in the old packaging. It is a great shade for us pale skinned peeps, it isn’t too cool or warmed toned, it’s the perfect all round colour. Apply to the cheeks, jaw line and forehead for that chisled bronzed look, I also like to add a touch across my nose (not as a contour, just to make me look a little sunkissed).

Blush

Milani Baked Blush Berry Amore

I have mentioned this blush a few times on my blog, but it’s my all-time favourite so how can I not talk about it all of the time. Using a big fluffy blush brush, add Milani’s Berry Amore to the apples of your cheeks and onto the nose for a flush of colour.

Highlight

Fenty Killawatt Highlighter in the shades Lightening Dust and Fire Crystal.

Another product I’ve already spoken about is the Fenty Killawatt Highlighter in the shades Lightening Dust and Fire Crystal. Taking a small brush (I actually use a Morphe eye blending brush) add the highlighter to the high points of the cheeks, nose and cupids bow for a super glowy finish to the skin.

Brows

I’m in love with Benefit’s Precisely My Brow Pencil and the 24hr Brow Setter and I genuinley don’t think I will be converted any time soon. The pencil creates the appearance of microbladed brows and the brow gel sets them in place all day. If you haven’t tried either of them before, then what are you waiting for, they WILL change your brow game!!

Lips

No7 Matte Liquid Lips Lipstick

Although I would typically use a lip liner for this look I’m going to skip it. As it’s a fall makeup look, it wouldn’t be complete without a matte berry liquid lipstick. Using one of the No7 Matte Liquid Lips (unfortunately there is no shade name😢, but from the website it look as though it could be “Courage”) apply a small amount and blend out with a lip brush to create that perfect pout.

Setting Spray

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (Oily Skin Setting Spray)

Using a setting spray may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I absolutely love adding that last finishing touch to my skin. The Urban Decay All Nighter has a perfect mist and will set your makeup in place for the entire day. Without this mist, I really notice my oils peaking through. It prolongs the wear of my makeup dramatically.

I really enjoyed creating this look, so much so I have a little reels up on IG on the eye portion of this makeup. It was my first attempt at a reels so it isn’t the best, however I am actually so proud of myself for plucking up the courage to post something like that on my Insta. I’d appreciate some love on the post if you have the time 😊

Until Another Day x
