GLAMGLOW Clear Skin Goals Set Review

GLAMGLOW seemed to appear within the beauty community only in the past few years, with every influencer giving the brand a mention in some form or another. I’d always wanted to try it out but their products are on the pricier side, I couldn’t bare to spend £44 on a face mask! A couple of years ago I was subscribed to Birchbox, and in one of those boxes I received a sample size of the GLAMGLOW Supermud face mask. I remember falling in love with the mask, but I never got around to repurchasing (it’s not cheap). One day, maybe a month before Christmas, I was looking at Christmas gifts in Boots when I spotted this Clear Skin Goals Set My boyfriend picked up on the “subtle” hints I was dropping and I received it a month later as one of my Christmas presents!! It’s taken me a while to post this review, as I wanted to really test out each of the products to develop a full opinion on them, before giving my final verdits.

This set includes 4 different products and retails for £44 (the price of the mask alone!!). Below I have listed the products that are in this set, please note, not all products are full size.

  1. SUPERMUD Activated Charcoal Clearing Treatment
  2. SUPERTONER Exfoliating Acid Solution Toner
  3. GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturiser in Nude Glow
  4. Oxygenating Deep Clean Cleanse Mask

SUPERMUD Activated Charcoal Clearing Treatment

GlamGlow SuperMud Cleansing Treatment Mask. Face mask to help get clear skin.

This is the mask I was referring to at the start of this post, so I was super happy to receive this for Christmas. To apply I use one of the old Real Techniques Foundation Brushes (the flat one) and put the mask all over my face. Sometimes I like to use this as a spot treatment, so I place a small amount over each breakout rather than on my entire face. I leave it on for around 15-20 minutes, until the mask has hardened and I can longer move my face! To remove a take a damp face cloth and wipe away the mask. My skin feels really soft afterwards and appears brighter and cleaner, the redness of any blemishes are also reduced which is wonderful. This mask features in one of my other blog posts, 7 of The Best Face Masks for Oily Skin.

I’ve heard rumours in the beauty community that Aldi has a face mask very similar to this one but at a fraction of the price! Maybe I’ll check this out at some point.

SUPERTONER Exfoliating Acid Solution Toner

GlamGlow Superserium 6 Acid Refining Treatment perfect for oily spot prone skin.

This toner contains 6 acids which help to exfoliate and smooth skin. It has a very thin consistency and is lilac in colour. I don’t like to use this every day because it contains so many acids, it’s something that I will include in my skincare routine just a couple of times a week. I’ve used this quite a bit already and so far it’s worked nicely on my combination skin. My skin feels and looks smoother the morning after I’ve applied it which I really like. I also seem to have a lovely healthy glow to my skin, meaning I feel confident going makeup free.

GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturiser in Nude Glow

GlamGlow Glowstarter Moisturiser in Nude Glow perfect for oily/acne prone skin.

As someone with oily skin I don’t typically use illuminating/hydrating moisturisers underneath my makeup. I gave this a go and I must admit I was impressed. The moisturiser itself has a pearlescent finish but is by no means shimmery. Despite having oily skin, this didn’t make my makeup wear any differently other than giving me a nice healthy glow. My makeup lasted just as long as it would without this product without the need for powder touch ups. This is definitely something I’m going to be reaching for when I’m wearing makeup in the future.

Oxygenating Deep Clean Cleanse Bubble Mask

GlamGlow Bubblesheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask

This was such a fun sheet mask to use! After about a minute or so of the mask sitting on my skin, small bubbles began to appear on the surface. If you’re in a rush but don’t want to skip out on using a face mask, this one would be perfect as it only takes 3 minutes to cleanse the skin. After use, my skin felt smooth and didn’t feel dry or tight. Personally, I don’t think I would repurchase the mask, purely because I am tight with my money, but £8 for one sheet mask is a bit steep in my eyes.

Overall, this set is great value for money. You’re getting 4 products for the price of a full sized version of the face mask, so it’s a bargain if you ask me! It would be a great gift for that skincare lover in your life, or just a little luxury treat for yourself. I’d really recommend this set to anyone who suffers from breakouts or has oily skin, even the moisturiser didn’t make my skin produce anymore oils! Have you tried this set, or any of the individual products? Let me know what you think!

Until Another Day x

  1. Their mask and illuminating moisturizer are two of my favorite skincare products of.all.time. I have ridiculously oily and combination skin that’s quite acne-prone, and I’ve been grateful for how these work on it. I especially loved seeing how the mask literally pulled the gross gunk out of my pores, and how the mask blurred any imperfections I was currently dealing with. It’s a great brand!
