What’s in My Handbag?

If you are anything like me, then you will love reading blog posts or watching YouTube videos on the contents of people’s handbags. I mean, I wouldn’t say I’m nosey or anything, it’s just nice to have a little bit of an insight into other people lives. With that being said, this is what I’m currently carrying around with me day to day.

The Bag

I love designer bags, but not their price tag. So on a trip to Fuerteventura last September I couldn’t resist picking up this ‘Chanel’ handbag from one of their weekly markets. I love the quilted design on the front and the gold chain which matches the logo. This bag goes with every outfit I own and is big enough to fit everything I need inside.

The Contents

Purse

The main reason I carry around a handbag is to keep my purse safe. I bought this purse from Harrods back in 2017 on a trip to London, this was my first trip away with my boyfriend. It’s the perfect size, it has slots inside for my cards, a zip pocket to store coins and two side pockets to keep any cash notes. It’s a little worn around the edges, but I’ll cherish it forever and keep it in my memory box when it is no longer usuable.

Hand Sanatiser

I have always kept hand sanatiser in my handbag, I never know when I’m going to need it. It’s especially handy on a night out, toilets often run out of hand soap…yuck! I’m a bit of a germaphobe and covid certainly hasn’t helped in that regard.

Pain Killers

I carry around pain killers with me daily because I suffer with hip pain. After two recent corrective surgeries, it saddens me to say that I’m still not completely pain free, therefore it’s so important I have pain killers to hand in case I have a flair up.

Sanitary Products

Tampons and pads are always packed away in my bag, they’re great to keep as back ups just incase I forget to put any in.

Hand Cream

I suffer with eczema on my hands so I love to keep a moisturising cream close by to keep them nice and hydrated throughout the day.

Makeup Bag

Although my bag isn’t huge, I can still fit in a small makeup bag! In here, I have my lip balm, lipstick and a mirror to top up my lips throughout the day.

I don’t keep an awful lot in my handbag, just the essentials. I haven’t included my phone in this, because I usually keep it to hand for photo opps, or so I don’t miss a phone call. At the moment my bag is very tidy, but when I’m on the go it’s full to the brim of receipts that I’m too scared to throw away, incase I need to make a return! In my normal working life, I also keep my phone charger close by, but at the moment I’m working from home so I don’t need to carry it around anymore.
