Empties | Part 2

It’s been a while since I posted my first empties ‘haul’, because I’ve been accumulating products to include in this post.  I’ve definitely concentrated more on skincare and body care over the past few months, so this second installment of my empties will be featuring a lot of products from those catagories. So, without further a do, lets get started… it’s going to be a long one.

Skincare

Simple Soothing Facial Toner

Toner

I have used Simple products forever, well at least back when I started experimenting with skincare. This product recently featured in my morning skincare routine, ideal for those with oily skin btw. Anyway, I digress, the toner is 100% alchohol free (perfect if you have sensitve skin) and contains a bunch of multi-vitamins. After use, my skin always feels refreshed and awake without making my skin feel tight.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, this empty was actually a repurchase from a while a go. This time around, I’ve purchased the Pixi Glow Tonic to try out instead but I would pick the Simple toner up again as it’s so affordable.

Simple Cleansing Lotion

Cleanser

I’ve used this cleanser for years, it’s perfect for my sensitive skin. It’s great at giving the skin a little refresh and I even feel like it moisturisers my skin too. It’s perfect for removing any makeup that your face wash might have missed. It contains Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E, the latter working as a powerful antioxidant.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, and I have multiple times before. I love this cleanser!

Avon Nutraeffects Mattifying Day Cream

Avon Cream

I’m not going to lie, this cream was sitting at the back of my skincare drawer for longer than I can remember. I dug it out again recently, and I’ve been obsessed, so much so that I’ve finally finished it, hooray!! Moisturiser is my last step in my skincare routine, although oil free, my face feels nice and hydrated without that horrible sweaty looking shine us oily skin humans despise. It contains SPF 15 which is perfect for those warmer sunny days.

Would I repurchase?

I think I would, but not at the minute. I’m ploughing through my trusty old Simple Moisturiser, so once I’ve finished this I might repurchase.

Cerave Eye Repair Cream

Eye Cream

I am unfortunately blessed with dark undereyes and I’d do anything to reduce their apperance. I picked up this eye cream earlier in the year from Look Fantastic after reading rave reviews. After about a week or so of regular usage I did notice a slight improvement to my undereye area.

Would I repurchase?

Yes I would, however this time around I’ve opted for a different cheaper eye cream to see how they compare.

Proactiv+ Skin Smoothing Exfoliator

Proactiv+

Proactiv+ are an amazing skincare brand, ideal for those who suffer with acne/spot prone skin. After a bad series of breakouts a few years ago I started reaching for Proactiv+, this face exfoliator is super gentle, meaning it’s perfect for every day usage. It really helps to clear up my skin and I’d completely recommend it.

Would I repurchase?

I’ve used multiple bottles of this before but unfortunately it appears to have been discontinued. It was available in Boots and from Amazon but hasn’t been in stock for a while.

Body Care

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash

Soap & Glory

The Sugar Crush range of Soap & Glory products has to be my favourite. I love the scent so much, it reminds me of those old school sweets, chocolate limes! This body wash is enriched with veggie oil and lime extract to keep the skin extra soft. It lathers up nicely and leaves my skin smelling citrusy fresh all day.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, yes and yes. I was gifted this product at Christmas by my parents in a set, this is something I receive reguarly from friends and family because they know how much I adore Soap & Glory products!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Buttercream

So this body butter works hand in hand with the shower gel. It has the same delicious fragance, I just cannot get enough of it! After jumping out of the bath or shower, I lather myself in body butter to keep my skin hydrated and lately this has been my go to! My body feels super moisturised without feeling greasy, the cream soaks into the skin pretty quickly, so I don’t have to wait ages before I can get dressed.

Would I repurchase?

I think you can guess what the answer is right? Of course it’s another yes! I’ve already used countless tubs of the stuff! I also love the original body butter from Soap & Glory, which is waiting to be used next!

Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Body Cream

Body Cream

I purchased this body cream to use specifically on my legs, especially my calves. I suffer with mild Keratosis Pilaris, a skin condition which makes the skin appear a little red and bumpy. It’s a completely harmless btw, after doing a little research I found that Glycolic Acid is really good at reducing the appearance of KP. After showering, I would apply a generous amount of the cream to my legs, it smells delicious! I did notice a little difference but nothing substantial.

Would I repurchase?

I would, but I can’t 😢 it appears to have been discontinued. I purchased it orignally from Look Fantastic and it’s no longer in stock, it’s not even available on Amazon either.

Mitchum Advanced Women Powder Fresh Anti-Perspirant Deodorant

Deodorant

I love this deodorant, it didn’t leave any white marks on my clothes or underarms. Mitchum claims it to have 48 hour sweat and odor control, but I somehow don’t believe that. Lets face it, I wouldn’t want to go 48 hours without apply deodorant that’s for sure. The Powder Fresh scent is really nice, it’s the only scent I’ve tried from this range.

Would I repurchase?

Yes, I’ve bought this deodorant multiple times. I’ve tried the stick version too, which I also love, it’s just a bit pricier than the spray.

Fragrance

Jack Wills English Velvet Body Spray

Body Spray

I got this in a Christmas set waayyy back, and I just never reached for it. Recently, I’ve tried to make do with what I have rather than wasting products. Although I haven’t ventured out much these past few months, I still like to wear a fragrance around the house. This body spray has a lovely fresh scent, but doesn’t have much staying power. Not that I can really complain, it is only a body spray after all.

Would I repurchase?

No. This isn’t because I’m not a fan, I prefer perfumes rather than body sprays. They kinda remind me of the PE changing rooms at school!

I’m pretty impressed with my empties haul this time around. I was able to use up a fair amount of products over the past few months and I loved the majority of them!

Until Another Day x

  1. It is always a good feeling when you have some product empties! Oooh! I love when cleansers remove makeup and leave some nutrients on your face. It is great when there is a deodorant that works and doesn’t leave a mark! Thanks for sharing!

  6. you’re so lucky to still have sugar crush as a scent option! I haven’t been able to find it in America for a few years now. I’m not sure if the US carries that toner or cleanser from simple but I would try it
