I’m on a mission to use up the beauty products I own. I love trying new launches or things that are generally new to me. This means that my drawers become overloaded with products that I’m not necessarily using as much anymore. I wanted to share with you everything that I’ve finished up over the past couple of months, and if I’d repurchase in the future.
Skincare
The Ordinary Niacinamide – £5.00
I loved this product so much to begin with so I bought two back-ups! In the first instance it really helped to clear my skin of breakouts. I started using this product about 12 months ago, but when my eczema started to resurface I took the decision to stop using it. Recently, I rediscovered this lurking at the bottom of my drawer so gave it another go. My skin looked so smooth with hardly any breakouts, I didn’t try my skin out either. I was left with an almost flawless complexion after just a few uses. I applied this to my face morning and night before heavier creams. I’ve finally cracked open a new bottle which I plan to incorporate into my skincare routine every few days. I’d love to try out some other The Ordinary products, feel free to leave a comment on your favourites!
Sanctuary Spa Body Butter
This cream has been sitting in a box in bedroom for quite some time. I always receive body skincare sets for Birthday’s and Christmas, but body butters are something I always struggle to get through quickly. This cream really helps to keep my skin moisturised and smooth. It absorbs into the skin pretty quickly without feeling sticky. I love the scent of the moisturiser too, it’s enriched with cocoa and shea butter with a hint of sweet almond and macadamia nut. I would consider repurchasing when I finish all of my other creams, but this is going to take a while.
Haircare
TRESemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Hair Spray – £5.99
I’ve just finished my 3rd bottle of this hair spray. Although I don’t use it as a heat protectant, it really helps tame my frizz in between washes and just generally makes my hair look and feel smooth. My hair is naturally very curly so combating frizz is imperative to my everyday hair care. Last year I uploaded some tips that may help those of you who have curly hair. This product is included in that post so I’ve linked it here.
TRESemme Keratin Smooth Mask – £6.10
Unfortunately, I don’t have a photograph of this product! I threw it in the recycling before I decided to write this particular post. Anyway, keeping with the hair care theme here, I’ve recently used up this hair mask. This isn’t something I use every time I wash my hair, but when I’m in need of a little more nourishment I reach for this. I would buy this again, however I have recently purchased a Garnier hair mask specifically designed with frizz in mind.
Makeup
Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer – £4.00
I recently finished my all time favourite concealer, but fear not, I bought FOUR more! Yes, you did read that correctly, I picked up another four to last me a while. Some might say this is excessive, but I say this is organised. I have a review on this concealer already on my blog, check out my in depth opinion here.
Benefit POREfessional – £29.00
I’ve had this primer in my collection for years, but it was something that I never particularly reached for. I started using this again a short while ago and I’ve got to say I really enjoyed using it. Maybe one day I’ll pick this up again!
Perfume
Ted Baker XO Extraordinary – £15.00
I’ve had this perfume for some time, I think it was in a Ted Baker Christmas gift I received a couple of years ago. I has such a lovely floral scent, with its top note being African Orange Flower. I made sure to use this over my more expensive fragrances, so I typically reached for it day to day for work. I’m not planning on repurchasing because I do have other perfumes I prefer.
There is always something so melancholic yet satisfying when I finish using a product I’ve had for quite some time. Hopefully I’ll have some more products to share with you all over the next few months.
Until Another Day x
Porefessional is classic. Thinking of picking it up again too
