Earlier this month I needed to replenish one of my most used products, so I decided to have a little browse on the Look Fantastic website. I ended up buying a few new items which kind of turned into a mini haul. When the products arrived I thought it would be a good idea to write a short blog post on my purchases, and here we are!
Garnier Ultimate Blends Smooth Hair Food – £6.99
I use hair masks occasionally to keep my hair nourished. Whilst nosing on Look Fantastic’s site, I stumbled across this new Garnier Coconut and Macadamia 3-in-1 hair mask. It’s specifically designed to minimise frizz, as someone with curly hair this is a must at times. This mask is 100% Vegan, so it doesn’t include any ingredients derived from animals. With climate change being a big topic at the moment, I’m all for finding new ways that I can help the environment. The formula of this product is 98% biodegradable and is 98% derived of natural origins. The 3-in-1 part of this mask means that it can be used as a:
- Standard conditioner
- Leave in conditioner
- Hair Mask (leave in for 3 minutes before rinsing)
I’ve tried this a couple of times already and so far it seems like a nice product, not only does it make my hair look and feel nicer, it is environmentally friendly!
CeraVe Eye Repair Cream – £11.00
Dark circles have always been a struggle of mine, but lately I haven’t been sleeping well so my under eyes are looking darker than ever. Eye creams are something that I struggle with, I can never seem to find one that helps combat the blueness around my sleep deprived eyes. I was originally going to splurge out on the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye cream, but I discovered this cream. Before taking the plunge on the, significantly, more expensive cream, I decided to give this a try. I apply this twice a day, morning and night. I don’t use a large amount, only a small blob is required. Using my ring finger, I lightly blend this into my under eye area and smooth over my eyelid. I suffer with eczema on my eyelids and the cream hasn’t irritated it yet! Surprisingly, I have actually noticed that the dark circles and blueness are no longer as harsh as they were a few weeks ago. I’m going to maintain using this as part of my daily skincare routine, and hopefully the improvement continues!
Garnier Hyaluronic Acid and Coconut Water Hydrating Re-plumping Eye Sheet Mask – £2.99
Wow that name is a mouthful it’s so long! When I placed my order this didn’t arrive with the rest of my items, there was a slight delay because stock levels were low. As I mentioned earlier my under eyes have been looking a little dark lately, so when this appeared I thought I’d give it a shot. Apparently it reduces the appearance of fine lines and re-plumps the eyes contours. After using a didn’t really notice a difference, other than the skin around my eyes felt hydrated and softer. I think this is the sort of product that needs to be used a few times a week to really reep the benefits.
Garnier Moisture Bomb Night-time Face Tissue Mask – £2.99
Lately I have been really enjoying face masks, whether it be clay masks or a sheet mask like this one. My skins appearance has dramatically improved over the past few months because I’ve really been taking the time to to look after it. A few times a week I’ve been incorporating face masks and I think this has been helping to improve it. I was instantly drawn to this particular mask as it’s primarily for use before bed, I picked up two. I used one of these a few nights back, and I’ve got to say, I was impressed. After 20 minutes of sitting with a mask on my face, which made me look like Mike Myers from Halloween, my skin felt very hydrated and soft. I’m glad I bought two so I’ve got another one to look forward to using.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – £10.99
Look Fantastic had a sale on in early January and when Miracle Complexion Sponges appeared I knew I had to buy them. I have two already, but they are getting a little old and warn so needed replacing. I love this particular sponge for blending out certain foundations, stippling and blending concealers and also baking with translucent powder. The sponge has a flat and pointed end, which come in really handy when playing with makeup.
Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil – £18.00
I’ve mentioned this product a couple of times on my blog so I’m only going to touch base very briefly. This is what I use everyday to remove my makeup. It’s an oil based cleanser which works to breakdown makeup without the new for wasteful makeup wipes. It smells amazing, cleansers my skin deeply and is 100% natural! It’s enriched with antioxidant vitamin E which helps to keep skin purified and soft.
This miniature haul featured 3 different Garnier products without me even realising until I sat down to write this post. I don’t often experiment with skincare products but as my skin is in such good condition right now, I can’t help but to try out new things. Let me know if you enjoyed this read by liking and commenting on this post.
